Pushing Disability Legislation and Policies in Vietnam
HealthEd organized a national workshop on HIV/AIDS, this time with the help of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. In addition, VNAH embarked on a quest to make help for the disabled a national priority. With seed money from USAID, VNAH began a national effort to help the government of Vietnam design and implement effective disability legislation and policies by providing technical expertise in key areas such as employment, training, rehabilitation and inclusion. It is this push to bring disability assistance to the national level that will set VNAH’s course for the next decade.
